A flat footed woman? LOL And they had to show their feet, of course. Amusing. Then 12 days of feasting. I like to eat but 12 days in a row would not be healthy and not really something I would even want to do. Happy New Year to all.
Loved the fun and insight into Regency Christmas and Lizzy wonder at it all. I agree that 12 days of eating was a bad thing but Boxing Day was used to deliver alms to the disadvantage (if you had a conscientious) and Darcy was always a kindly master.
How scandalous to show a lady’s bare foot!
