Books and Chocolate-May 2026

I actually got to go on a vacation for my birthday this year. BFF and I took a lovely trip with lots of sun and time to catch up on my TBR pile. I couldn’t wait to pull this one out, I’ve been waiting for it to release for a long time!
Just so you know, links below are Amazon associate links, so if you buy anything through them, I will get a couple of pennies from that.
The Wizard’s Cat
It started with a dandelion. Innocuous. Ubiquitous. Who knew it was a warning?
After claiming his big bonus, things are coming up roses for Roger Mulligan. A job he loves. A house that feels like home. Money in the bank. A solid roof over his head and job security.
But when he finds a dandelion on the pristine grounds of Shackleford House, he starts down a twisted garden path. Old man Shackleford says the fairies have a problem, the pixies keep falling down on the job, and the house seems to grow weaker by the day.
I love Nathan Lowell, and this did not disappoint. The same cozy mystery and intrigue from the first in this series, The Wizard’s Butler, was present in this one. With all my favorite characters back, and some new ones to boot, this was a perfect beach read.
