How to Use Sealing Wax — 2 Comments
I love sealing wax. I know I’m weird. I have dozens of colors and types. I also have seals of varying designs. I can’t help it. I’ve sent my friend a letter with a seal on it. Of course, I put it into another envelope to protect it. I don’t think the USPS would appreciate my seal gumming up their works when it broke or got hung up in the mail machine. LOL! This guy is always so much fun. Thanks for sharing.
Timely post, as I recently broke down and made my first purchase of wax and seal. I had looked longingly at a the seals and the beautiful colors of wax available for quite a while but feared getting started with another craft supply that might become a new obsession! After seeing an idea on the internet…somewhere…not sure where but it kept popping up so it could’ve been Facebook or YouTube where they used a clear wax and a plain flat centered seal with raised beading around the edge over a little dried flower, I was all in. So, the finished product looks like a little flower inside a tiny frame after the beaded edge is painted gold. I already dry lots of flowers so I had something to experiment with. This is going to take some practice, but I had fun. And yes, I want more seals and more wax colors.
