A Touch of Quill and Ink: Regency Letter Writing — 1 Comment

  1. Fascinating, thank you. I’ve never tried writing with a quill pen, however as a child my first ‘ink’ writing was at junior school where we had a wooden pen with a metal nib attached and an ink well in the desk. I used that until I went to the grammar school where I used a fountain pen. My eldest brother bought me a lovely Parker fountain pen and pencil set for my birthday when he started work. I found I could write much neater with that pen! I do still have it but, alas, I rarely use it now.
