Bookstore update

Last year I bit the bullet and set up a direct sales store for all my books. It has been an interesting endeavour. I learned a lot more than I expected, and I’m really glad of that.
I have a feeling you know where this is going. So I’ll start with, the store is not closing. So you will still be able to get books directly from me. Just not quite in the same way I’ve been doing.
It will look a little different, though.
I ran the numbers from last year, hoping to discover that cycling my books in and out of Kindle Unlimited to offer them for sale directly would prove to be the way to go forward. In short, it wasn’t. Not even remotely close. The data was compelling in a drop-everything-you’re-doing-and-deal-with-it-now sort of way. The kind of unanticipated pay cut that has you immediately considering another job. yeah, YIKES.
So, though I’d rather keep the store going as it was, I just can’t do it. I will, however, run specials and bundles there, hopefully quarterly. I’ll announce them through the newsletter. If you don’t subscribe yet, you can do so HERE.
And in an unanticipated bit of good news, due to new Kindle Unlimited rules, all my books are currently available to libraries through Overdrive/Libby (the most popular app), CloudLibrary, BorrowBox, Hoopla, and more. If your local library loans out ebooks, but doesn’t have mine, they’ll have a way to request it.
If your library doesn’t loan ebooks or audiobooks, you may be able to get a library card at a larger library system for a modest fee. Here is a website that lists libraries with non-resident borrowing privileges.

Thank you for all your support through the years. I look forward to many more to come!
