I’d like to see the Dashwood ladies make an appearance. Can’t decide whether Mrs. Jennings would be a Hearer or dragon-deaf; she might drive dragons mad!
I like to think she’d be a bit like Mr. Collins – Only happy to find out dragons exist, having wondered if she really just had an overactive imagination…
How long did it take Arthur, Dewi et al. to draft the Accords? (I assume it took years.) Do they get updated, amended or added to very often?
Will you be updating the Blue Order Dragon Index to reflect some of the additions (e.g., May, Corn & Wall, the quartet of forest wyrms introduced in Beyond the Pale)?
What are the life expectancies of the various dragons – does it vary by size? type?
Ah!! I have so many thoughts! (I’ve been doing a full re-read in preparation for the new book.)
I don’t want spoilers though, so feel free to ignore these if that’s safer. 🙂
Will we ever find out more about the history of the poison-warded maps at Netherfield Park? (Did Longbourn himself provide the venom? was the map-making-master-of-Netherfield paying him off with smuggled salt? Was the original Netherfield dragon involved? Didn’t he emigrate to France more than 100 years ago? I have some time-line confusion there.) Was the map-chest warded partly because it contained details of the myriad of unknown/uncharted English Dragon-Tunnels? (Does the uncharted tunnel system exist for secret dragon-reasons?)
Did Sir Walter Elliot end up married to Mrs. Clay, or did he desert her when he lost his estate? (Did he go get a license the day he said he would? Not gonna lie, I’d consider it hilariously deserved if he married her hurriedly before noon that day, and then had his estate taken by the Blue Order the next day and had to deal with the consequences– despite his reduced circumstances. He should have to financially support Mrs. Clay and the baby now! (Even if it *is* possible that it was actually William Elliot’s baby.) They are an appropriate punishment for each other, especially if Elizabeth Elliot still lives with them. Those three can spend the next 20-30 years bickering about how they think they should have more and be more.
Did Sir Walter lose his title, or just his estate?

Is Lady Elizabeth Darcy not considered a member of the Blue Order *Council?*
I realized at the beginning of Beyond the Pale that Lord Matlock told Darcy his upsetting information hadn’t been shared with the Council yet, but would be as soon as possible… and it made me wonder if Matlock intentionally holds meetings without Elizabeth’s presence? I had just assumed she was involved in ALL the things… but since Lord Matlock clearly planned to withhold that information from her, and yet was planning a meeting with… at least some of the officers of the Blue Order later in the day… are only *some* of the officers involved in meetings of that kind? (I imagine Bennet hasn’t been in a habit of attending any emergency meetings over the years… his role isn’t likely to be critical for emergency situations.) So is the Council a kind of governing board for the Order that has emergency meeting about things like lost foreign envoys or attempts to smuggle dragons/dragon-parts, but Blue Order officers like Mr. Bennet, Lady Elizabeth, and Sir Edward Dressler aren’t necessarily invited to those meetings, on the assumption that their input won’t be needed?
(Or is Matlock preferentially excluding Lady Elizabeth specifically? (Allegedly because hers is a new office that wasn’t historically part of the meetings… but actually because he considers her too unpredictable.))
I also have lots of questions about the ladies of the cotillion board and Cownt Matlock’s recent title change, but I’m guessing we’ll get more info on those things in the new book, so I’ll restrain myself for now. 😉
