Day 10- 30 Days of Gratitude
Gratitude #10 What is the best thing that has happened today?
Without a doubt, the best part of my day was getting to spend time with the babies!
When the pandemic hit, my darling daughter-in-law was 6 months pregnant. We decided that the best thing for all of us was for our family to form a support bubble so we could be available to help and support with the kids.
Our grand daughter was born in June, and I have to say it has been worth every inconvenience of being in our ‘bubble’ in order to be able to spend time with these guys.
Unfortunately we don’t get to see our one set of grandchildren at all as their mother teaches in a RC school and so is exposed daily to teenagers and thus we stay away just in case. The other set we see playing their soccer and/or field hockey games – outside so it is safer. And the other daughter and her husband work in their offices – not at home so we don’t see them either. The best thing today was just getting up…making it through the night. I just ate breakfast so not much has happened as of yet.
Grandchildren look lovely. Have a good day.
Again, I am like Sheila. The best thing that happened today… I woke up.
The best thing today is that my neighbour who slipped on the ice while taking the garbage out this morning had a rapid response from emergency services and is getting good care. He was badly hurt but we are optimistic that the paralysis is temporary.
