Day 9- 30 Days of Gratitude
Gratitude #9 What is something about your body you are grateful for?
I am so grateful that I am able to pick up and hold my grandchildren.
Recently, we were able to go on a little getaway with my eldest son and his family to a state park where we stayed in our own little cabin, distanced from crowds. While the eldest grandson had some mom time, my son and I took the other two out for a hike.
He carried the one year old on his back and I had baby in my favorite baby sling. She snuggled in and slept the entire two (or maybe three) miles. I am so grateful for that experience and that memory.
I can’t say there is much about my body that I have thought about being grateful for. In thinking about it I am just thankful that I have all 5 of my senses working (even with glasses and some small hearing issues as I age). I can walk out when the weather is nice and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
I’m with Sheila. As I have aged, my body has started doing some really strange things that I never considered when I was much younger. I suppose my sight is something I am grateful for so I can see the glories of God’s creation. I’m sure you noticed them on your nature walk. What a precious picture of you with your grandchild. In seeing, I can read… first my Bible… and then all these wonderful JAFF books, stories, and novellas. I am so grateful to just be alive… period.
