  1. I loved your article today. And it sent me down a rabbit hole or two. I recognized the author’s name: Sarah Waldock, from your credits list and went and read that article on her blog, which was really great, all about doll houses, miniature furniture and the dolls that went with their scale. I collected miniature furniture myself as an adult. I never got enough to fill a house and I have no room for one now. I think may create a diorama with what I have, which would take less space. I cried when we had to down size and get rid of my son’s toys. But what we did do was give away those toys to friends of his who had really small children, and who wouldn’t balk at having used toys. He knew which parents and their kids would be appropriate to give which toys. It was amazing, and made me feel much better.

Then I went to a link from HER blog and read about Dahlias in Regency era gardens. Love Dahlias myself but I’m unable to enjoy them in my own garden these days. I live vicariously through Christina Boyd’s Facebook page when she posts her Dahlia photos.

Thank you as always for the fascinating pieces of history you bring us from your research. I’m looking forward to what book this research will show up in.
