Hurricane-1, Dragons-0 — 14 Comments

  1. Can’t wait! But don’t tempt fate, I wouldn’t want to be responsible for the entire State of Texas falling into the sea, or any other state for that matter. I will just take a deep breath and crochet while I wait for the dragons to make an appearance.

  2. What a coincidence! I also am crocheting (see the previous comment!) No seriously I have such a long TBR list that you could possibly take 12 months and I would still be reading. However that being said I have the first book which is on my TBR and I will get the other two when this is released so I can read them all at once. I do hope that you aren’t hit by any other extreme conditions and get to write in peace. ???

    • I love to crochet, but it’s been far too long since I’ve picked up my hooks! I have an awesome dragon blanket pattern I want to make my grandson. But I’ll get the book done first, I promise!

  3. Cannot wait, Maria. Until then, I ‘ll comfort myself with rereading the first two, & visiting my home away from home planet, Pern.

  4. I am so looking forward to more dragons but totally understand the unplanned for delays. Thanks for letting us know your situation. Having lived in Texas I remember a saying, “You don’t like the weather?…wait a minute.” I remember the very dramatic shifts in temperatures one could experience within 24 hours. That was without any hurricane. Good luck with getting this done and published.

  5. I will wait and will be patient… no worries… the dragon stories are worth it. You have been through hell and back and lived to tell the story. Anyone who has followed your ‘Rising Waters’ know what you have been through. Did they [the critics] expect you to write as you were being evacuated… by boat… in the rain… from your home? Outrageous!! No, selfish people can wait their turn. You have earned a respite and I thank you for letting us know how you are recovering. Take your time, make it count and it will be better for it. Just breathe…

    • I really appreciate the patience, more than you know. I hate to be late on anything! On the plus side, I’m now about 12K words into the third dragon book and I”m pretty please with how it’s coming together.

  6. Yay!!!! I can’t wait!!! I’m eager to begin proofing!! 😀 I’ve read the other two books probably five times each, and I’m so thrilled that you’ve started writing chapters!!! Yay!!!!

Hurricanes may be powerful, but dragons will always win the day in the long run! 😉

    Warmly (and very happily!),
    Susanne 🙂

  7. I’m so looking forward to this! Obviously we understand that Harvey and that pesky thing called Real Life kind of got in the way of the mystery that surrounds Netherfield but, like may others “I am all anticipation”!
