If you were to write the ‘origin’s episode’ of your writing what would be the most important scenes? What did your early efforts look like? Are they still around to be used as bribes and blackmail material?

Well, I have to admit that I don’t really have anything exciting to answer with! I guess I was thinking about writing a book, but wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do. I had never really written anything, except in school  (when I was younger..20some years ago). So, my husband suggested I start with blogging and I have really enjoyed that. Here is the link to my first try at it:Charity 1

All super heroes have their mild-mannered secret identity, what is yours? I promise we won’t tell.

Hmm. Good one. I suppose I can relate to people well. I usually can tell when they need encouragement or if they are hurting.

Who are your partners in crime? What are their superpowers?

Firstly, my husband. His superpowers? whew. HOT STUFF, that’s what (; Selfless and beautiful in every way. Secondly, my kiddos. They are also completely selfless, humble and servants at heart.

Where do you get your superpowers from?

ABSOLUTELY from God. I can’t imagine how I would cope with life and all it’s ups and downs without the steadiness He provides.

Where is your secret lair and what does it look like?

Ahhh.. I wish I had one of those! We live in a small space. I don’t have anywhere to hide!!!!!! I might go into another room away from everyone and curl in up my chair. When I open my eyes, the family is all in that room doing their things but sitting all around me. I suppose I can’t complain. It’s nice to be loved!! They are precious (:

What kind of training do you do to keep your superpowers in world saving form? How do you insure they are used only for good?

lol. Wow! I sound pretty impressive. hmm. Sleep is very important training. A lot of resting…Sometimes tv and books help me keep up my superpowers. I’ll tell you what is the worst for them! It’s one word: EXERCISE! Boy, those superpowers fly right out the stinkin’ window if I do that. I try to keep from it as much as possible. Used for good? Well, hmmm. staying as close to God as I possibly can. I listen for His voice to guide me and go from there.

Granted, you probably don’t’ get to wear your superhero costume a lot, but if you did, what would it look like?

OMGoodness! It would be an explosion of fun!! Definitely pink. No, red. Wait, maybe orange. hmm… Perhaps I would look like Rainbow Brite!!!

What is your kryptonite? What are the biggest challenges faced with in your writing?

Definitely a lot of rest, tv and reading. My biggest challenges are when people talk to me while I write! Ahh. Makes me crazy. I need a hat to wear backwards that says, “zip it”.

What was the supervillian that threatened to stop your latest project and how did you vanquish it?

Ah, yes. Absolutely exercise. I took him RIGHT out of the picture. No more worries. He’s gone for GOOD!

What important lessons have you learned along the way?

People are fickle. (Plus, that’s a GREAT word!)

What have been the best/most memorable experiences along the way?

Definitely all my fun face-offs and the friendships that I’ve formed!!Charity 2

If you did this again what would you do differently and what would you not change?

I don’t think I would do much differently. Failure and Growth are part of life. Everything happens in its time and season.

What is the best (blogging or otherwise) advice you have ever gotten and why.

Oh, good one. hmmm…

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Tell us about you new book and why we need to drop everything and get it now.

Woo Hoo! I do actually have a wonderful book idea, but I am super content not to add anything extra to my life. I am really enjoying my blog. I love meeting new authors and facing off with them. I love reading books (FOR FREE!!). It’s not too bad of a gig (;

What’s in store for you in the future? Do you have any other big projects on the horizon?

My biggest projects are keeping up with life! Blogging, reading, raising my kiddos, being a great wife and loving others. We are trying to adopt teenagers, but that has been a nightmare (because of the state). Everything else is in the background right now.
